Kyra H. Morris
Kyra began her financial planning career in 1983. She obtained her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 1986 and founded Morris Financial Concepts in 1987. Mrs. Morris is committed to the development of financial planning as a profession. Kyra was one of the founders of the SC Society for the Institute of Certified Financial Planners in 1985, and from 1993-1997 she served in a national position on the board of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners. From 2000 – 2004 she served on the CFP Board of Standards, which maintains the certification mark and the ethical standards established for CFP® professionals.
Kyra’s accolades include being named six times by Worth Magazine, Mutual Fund Magazine and Bloomberg Wealth Management as one of the top financial planners in the country. In addition, Dow Jones Investment Advisor featured her on their cover, and Financial Planning Magazine named her one of the “Movers and Shakers” in the profession. Ms Morris speaks at many conferences both in America and abroad.
Client Focus: Kyra, through her company and staff, values all individuals and seeks to enrich lives by using her experience and skills in wealth and investment management. Her goal is to integrate her clients’ core values and life goals into successful financial planning and investment strategies tailored to their particular needs and circumstances.
Life Focus: “I focus on my family, my husband, Rob, and our three sons, Tucker, Bobby and Gable. I enjoy exploring the world through food and travel. I am a fourth degree black belt in karate and focus on staying in shape, mentally and physically.”
Tiffany Pripeton Ritchie
Tiffany graduated Summa Cum Laude from Virginia Tech’s Pamplin School of Business with a B.S. in Business, Finance. At Virginia Tech, she completed the CFP® Board-Registered Program, a Minor in Psychology and an Honors Scholar degree. In 2012, Tiffany passed her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) exam and now holds the CFP® designation. Tiffany has been part of the MFC team since 2011, and is committed to MFC’s holistic approach of financial planning and caring for our clients.
Client Focus: Tiffany enjoys working with clients to help them identify their life goals and then developing a financial plan will put them on the right path to achieve these goals.
Life Focus: “When I am not at work, I spend most of my time with my husband, Ross Ritchie. Though we’re both snow skiers, we have very much enjoyed making Charleston our home. We like to explore the outdoors of Charleston, as well as simply spend time together in our home or work outside on our garden. We are both avid travelers and I believe that there is so much to learn from other people and cultures.”
Robert Morris, Jr.
Chief Information Officer
After serving in the Marine Corps, Rob majored in computer science at Clemson, married Kyra, and began a 20-year career in information technology at BP/Amoco.
Client Focus: Rob brings those years of experience and responsibility to the management of the firm’s information and investment systems.
Life Focus: “To experience all that life has to offer.”
Hunter graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wofford College in 2015 with a B.A. in Finance and minors in Economics and Business. At Wofford, he was an active member of the school’s investment research group, and led his colleagues in many other organizations on and off campus. He recently completed and passed his Registered Paraplanner exam (RP) and now holds the RP designation. He has been a part of the MFC team since 2014, where he previously interned prior to taking on his role as Investment Operations Administrator in 2015.
Client Focus: Hunter brings his passion for investments and financial advising to help clients get the most out of their financial goals and portfolios.
Life Focus: “Born and raised in the Lowcountry of Charleston, I enjoy all the outdoors has to offer. Some of my favorite hobbies include hunting, fishing, boating, and athletics- I also love spending time with family on our farm on Johns Island. In the future, I hope to have the opportunity to travel the world and experience new and exciting things abroad.”
Investment Operations Assistant
Laura graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cal State University Fresno in 2005 with a B.A. in Philosophy and a B.S. in Criminology. After college, she traveled to Europe to pursue a lifelong dream of playing soccer in Europe. While in Germany, she worked for Bank of America’s Overseas Division as a Loan Officer and Client Relations Specialist. Laura also assisted with the training and establishment of new Bank of America branches throughout Europe. After returning to the US, she took some time off from the banking sector and volunteered in the medical sector in the upstate NY area. Laura fell in love with Charleston on a weekend visit, and in 2013 she found herself relocating to the area. Laura joined MFC’s Team in 2016, she recently passed the exam to obtain her Series 65 and is the Investment Operations Assistant for the firm.
Client Focus: As an Investment Operations Assistant, Laura will assist the team by performing the necessary tasks in order to help our clients achieve their lifelong financial goals.
Life Focus: I am a huge foodie, I absolutely love sports, but my number one passion in life is my dog, Espy. I enjoy traveling, running, experiencing the outdoors with my dog, and getting together with great friends over a fabulous meal. I often feel like I must be the luckiest person in the world. I am thankful for everything that this life has awarded me and I hope to never take any of it for granted.
Marketing, Client Services
Digit has a strong background in economics and business. Before starting with Morris Financial Concepts, Inc in the summer of 2013, he worked 20 years in the shipping industry and in printing and marketing. He is very active in the Charleston community. Currently he serves on the Board of Directors for the Rotary Club of Charleston, and will be the incoming President for 2014-2015.
Client Focus: Digit will use his insights and maturity to manage the client experience at Morris Financial Concepts, the Client Service Manager. He will also oversee and monitor the firm’s marketing resources and activities.
Life Focus: “I enjoy Charleston and all it has to offer with my wife, Danielle and our dog Vito. I am a bow hunter and like to be in the great outdoors experiencing everything God has created as often as possible. “Go afield with a good attitude, with respect for the wildlife you hunt and for the forest and fields in which you walk. Immerse yourself in the outdoor experience. It will cleanse your soul and make you a better person” ~ Fred Bear
Chief Compliance Officer, Information Technology Manager
Tucker has grown up around Morris Financial Concepts, Inc. He helped Kyra with general office operations when he was 10, implemented the electronic portfolio management system (Advent Axys) when he was 14, helped with bookkeeping during his college years, and has helped with information technology throughout. In 2005, he graduated from the College of Charleston in South Carolina with a B.A. in philosophy and a minor in economics. After spending some time in law school, Tucker switched careers to information technology. He spent several years up in cold Madison, WI, working for an electronic medical record company called Epic. He was happy to return home to take over as Chief Compliance Officer and IT Manager for Morris Financial.
Client Focus: Tucker focuses on optimizing processes through technological tools while keeping them in compliance with appropriate government regulation.
Life Focus: “I am an avid gamer – video games, Dungeons and Dragons, and board games. If I am not playing those, I am probably working on some C# or SQL concoction that will help the business. I am nerd, hear me ROAR!”
